The Lennie's Team, A Staff Update.
Have you been in our shop recently, gotten a delivery from us lately, or
are we just voices on the phone to you? Well, it's time to update you on
our staff and who's who at 14 Elm Street, the only flower shop you'll
ever need! Of course, there's "what's her name" Lennie, the one that
started it all. She's here most of the time keeping an eye on things and
lending her creative talents to the design staff. (She's still a
certified Master Judge for flower shows.) Then, there are those very
talented floral designers: Suzanne, Elaine, Sheryl, Mary and Angela, who
have wonderful originality of thought and marvelous skills to create
just the perfect arrangement for any occasion. And let's not forget
Leslie, not only a floral designer but our in-house guru on all plants
and plant issues. What wonderful indoor and outdoor planters she
creates, and what a great selection of plants she tracks down for our
shop! And then, there's our delivery personnel, we could make
arrangements all day but if there's no one to hit the roads to make our
deliveries we'd be in sorry shape.. There's Tom, Jim and Christine, with
occasional help from Bill and Peter. Also, we have some really great
high school girls, who fill in afternoons and weekends: Jessica,
Stephanie, Shannon and Amy. They'd love to do gorgeous cut flowers in
cellophane for you to take home to a special someone.
So, when you get a chance, please stop by before the busy holiday rush
and learn the faces and names to those voices. We're here and ready to
devote our skills and talent to make a specially designed arrangement
and then deliver it. We can create joy, comfort and caring just for you.
Favorite Gifts
Flowers were named as the most popular gift, both sent (and enjoyed when
received), to get out of the doghouse. The only question remaining is,
"how bad is it and how many dozen roses are needed to remove oneself
from that doghouse"! Flowers for no occasion is cited by 1/3 of
Americans as the best reason to receive flowers, and 58% gave flowers at
least once in the past year. Flowers are the 1st choice at 37% as the
best gift to express love. And clothing is the most often given gift but
it is also the most returned gift!!!
